Welcome to North High School Institute of World Learning
North High School sits just north of the heart of downtown Denver. As one of the four founding High Schools of Denver Public Schools, North has a rich history spanning more than 100 years. North High School is currently going through transition to the Denver North Institute of World Learning as part of the greater Denver North Academy of World Leadership along with the Denver North School of Essential Learning and Denver North Preparatory for World Learning.

Interested in what is going on at North High School? Then please come in. Every Tuesday that school is in session we will be offering a tour and giving you the opportunity to observe a class. Student and Parent Center
North High School offers many services for students and their families. From a free health clinic for students to a full time scholarship center to a job service center, North High is committed to the health, education and wellness of our entire community.
Academics
North High School provides all of the classes needed to meet the Colorado state high school graduation requirements. In addition to core classes, North has 13 Advanced Placement classes. Students at North also have the ability to study Chinese, French and Spanish. Incoming 9th Graders are invited to participate in the Fast College Fast Jobs program, allowing North High students to gain college credits towards an Associate Degree at no cost to the family. North High School’s proximity to downtown enables students to seek professional internships during their senior year. North’s proximity to museums, libraries, and the City and State Capitols provide expeditionary opportunities.
Denver North Community
North High School is situated in one of the most diverse communities in the Denver metro area. Boasting diverse eateries, clothing and bookstores, and a variety of professional offices, the students and staff enjoy a healthy community in which to participate. Excellent relationships with local businesses provide jobs and resources for North High students. Downtown Denver is just a 10-minute RTD ride with two routes available to students.
